Pastor W. A. Russell officiated on Saturday, March 7, in Bordertown Church of Christ, at the quietly celebrated marriage of Mary E., second daughter of Mr and Mrs E. C. Nankivell, of Mundalla, to Lionel E., elder son of Mr and Mrs R. E. Hunt, of Kongal. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of white marquisette, made with a high neck, small collar, and low waistline, with blue velvet ribbon, threaded across the front yoke and ending in a bow. The full skirt formed a slight train at the back, and elbow-length gloves were worn with the short sleeves. The white tulle veil was arranged halo fashion with a spray of white flowers, and her sheaf of white flowers had touches of blue. Miss Phyllis Hunt, bridegroom's sister, was bridesmaid, in marquisette in a pretty shade of blue, fullskirted, the daintily tucked bodice being trimmed with buttons down the front. Her shoulder length veil of the same blue was held in place with real flowers in an apricot shade, matching the sheaf she carried. Mr C. Kirkham was best man. Miss A. Verco presided at the organ, and during the signing of the register Mrs T. N. Butler effectively rendered, "Because". Relatives and friends were entertained at supper at Mr and Mrs Nankivell's home, Mundalla, before the happy couple left by car for their honeymoon in Mount Gambier. Mrs Nankivell wore a navy sheer frock with matching accessories and a shoulder spray of white tuberoses, while the bridegroom's mother's navy ensemble was also worn with navy accessories, with a shoulder spray of white sparaxis. The bride travelled in a dusty pink ensemble in a fine woollen material, with matching hat and black accessories.
Mary Enid Hunt and Lionel Edward Hunt were living at Kongal in 1943. He was a farmer and grazier[3].
