Alma is the youngest of three siblings. When she is born, her family rents a home in Miller, Georgia. They support the family with a farm.[2]
1935: On the 1940 census, the family claimed they lived in rural Morgan Georgia in 1935. [3]
In 1940, the family lived on Dry Pond in Miller, Georgia. Her father had previously worked as a road repairman for the government but hadn't currently worked in 40 weeks. Her brother, Jessie Jr. worked on a farm. Her sister, Willie, had already left home. [3]
Marriage
She married Brogden Coolidge Daughtry in Hall, Georgia on February 28, 1946 - 3 days after he is discharged from the Army. [4]
1952: Brogdon works as a Display Supervisor at Mcellans in Gainsville, Georgia.[5]
1956: Brogdon got a promotion to Department manager. The couple lives on 935 Grove[6]
1959: He still works for the same company, the couple lives on 134 Lyman Rd. [7]
Before 1986: The couple bought a house on 1 Cherry Circle in Gainsville, Georgia. They both retired here. This was their final home. [8][9]
She passed away on April 2, 1999 [1] and is buried with her husband in Memorial Park Cemetery and Columbarium , Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia, USA [10]
