David Nash was born about 1 December 1822 in Aldermaston, Berkshire, England. He was the son of Wiiliam Nash and Hannah Hamblyn. David was the youngest of their six children. HIs siblings are Elizabeth, William, John, Jane and George.
David Nash married Ann Carter 25 December 1847 in Aldermaston. Their first two children were born in Aldermaston, David born 25 December 1847 and he passed away and was buried 10 May 1851 in Aldermaston. George was born 19 May 1850 in Aldermaston.
David and Ann with son George emigrated to Australia 1 June 1853 aboard the ship "Talavera". Their daughter Penelope Nash was born 1853 on board this ship.
David Nash acquired a property on a bend in the Williams River, which would have been just over the hill at the bottom of Quart Pot Cemetery, which was said to be the best of the properties that were in the family. with a nice swimming hole under the trees on a nice part of the river.
David and Ann had three more children born in Australia, Thomas, John William and Ann. Sadly, George passed away in 1860 aged nine years at Sugarloaf Creek.
David Nash passed away 4 June 1903 at "New Farm", Underbank, aged 81 years. He was buried 5 June 1903 at St Peters C of E Cemetery, Bendolba.
