The daughter of John Nelson and his second wife, Rhoda (Kelley) Nelson, Ollie was born in West Point, Tennessee in 1898.[1] She lived there with her family.[2][3] Ollive Nelson married William Edward McGee (1891-1971), the son of James M. McGee and Martha Jane McClanahan, marrying in Wayne County, Tennessee on March 27, 1919.[4] Their children included:
Maxie Wade McGee (1919-1996)
Clara Belle McGee (1921-2011)
William Edward McGee, J. (1922-2003)
Johnnie A. McGee (1924-2011)
Ray B. McGee (1934-2014)
They made their home in Wayne County where, in 1920, the household included her mother-in-law, 74-year-old Emily McGee, and her sister-in-law, 39-year-old Mattie J. McGee.[5]
Ollie passed away at the age of 90 and is buried at Bethlehem Cemetery in Wayne County, Tennessee.[6]
