He was 46 when he emigrated to Australia on the ship Saldanha, arriving in Melbourne, Victoria in Jun 1854. [4]
He passed away age 76 in 1883 in Ballarat, Victoria [5][6][7] and was buried in the Ballarat New Cemetery. [8][9]
