Biography

Alfred Nixon was born on July 6, 1850,[1] in Wythe County, Virginia, the child of John Nixon[2][3] and Rebecca Baker. The informant on his Death Certificate was Mary Nixon of Irondale. She knew that Alfred's father was named John, but she did not name his mother and did not state where either was born. Alfred's birth place looks like Withville, VA, but it is probably Wytheville, VA.[Note: Wytheville is the correct spelling of the town in Virginia.] Robin Kabrich[2]

Alfred died on February 26, 1925 in Irondale, Washington County, Missouri, at age 74 years, 8 months, 9 days.[2] Alfred is buried at Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell, Washington County, Missouri.[5][6].
