Marion was born Feb 1868 in Whitesboro, Grayson County, Texas. He was the son of John Norton and Lucy Stafford.

Research Notes
Headstone lists date of birth as 1862 but he was only two years old on the 1870 census so I'm estimating he was born in 1868. The 1900 census shows him to be born Feb 1869.
