The Town Talk, 06 Nov 1948, Sat, Page 2 ASHLEY - Mrs. Viola Rebecca Ashley, 69. of 1841 Harvard street, died at 5:30 p. m. Friday, Nov. 5, 1948 in the Baptist hospital. She is survived by two sons, J. G. Ashley, and J. A. Ashley. Jr., both of Alexandria, four daughters, Mrs. W. M. Thornhill of Pineville, Mrs. Henry Daniels of Lafayette, Mrs. Willie Stevens of Lafayette, and Mrs. Percy Haywood of Alexandria, one brother, Mayo Odom of Fishville, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ashley of Alexandria. 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ashley lived her entire life in Rapides parish. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p. m. today, Nov. 6, 1913 in the Hixson Bros, chapel. Interment will be in the Greenwood Memorial Park.
