Elisabeth Ogilvie was baptized on 19 February 1792, in the Church of Scotland parish of Tannadice, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland[1][2]. Her parents were recorded in the parish register as John Ogilvie and Betty Stormonth who resided at New Mill of Inshewan.
Marriage
Elizabeth Ogilvy married George Stewart on 23 May 1823 in Brechin, Forfarshire, Scotland[3]. The Register records: "17th May: Geo. Stewart of this Parish and Eliz. Ogilvy of Tannadice were contracted in order to marriage and their banns having been regularly published and no objection offered were married 23rd of said May."
Children
George Stewart and Elizabeth Ogilvy had five children, four of whose baptisms are recorded in the Old Parish Registers for the Church of Scotland parishes of Brechin and Kirriemuir:

Elizabeth is conjectured to have been born in Kirriemuir, Forfarshire (Angus) in March 1833. Her baptism is not recorded in any parish register for the conjectured year of her birth, however there are known baptisms in Kirriemuir Parish which were not recorded in the parish registers, it may be that her baptism did indeed occur around 14 March 1833[4].

George and Elizabeth and their five children were assisted emigrants to Port Phillip, and arrived there on the immigrant ship Himalaya on 30 September 1840, having departed London on 19 June, via Plymouth[5].
