Peter Owen was born about 1787^[1] in Gormanstown, County Kildare, Ireland, son of Laurence Owen (~1760–~1830)^[2] and Bridget Bagnor (~1768–~1840)^[3].

Peter (25) married Jane Flood (17) (born on June 19, 1795 in Kilcullen, Kildare, Ireland) on February 22, 1813 in Suncroft, Kildare. Their children were:
