He was born on 16 Sep 1851 in Madison County, Kentucky, USA and his parents were Mary Frances (Gentry, 1818-1860) and Owen Parrish (c1817-1888).
By 1880 Payton Embry Parrish had first married to Alice Doores Parrish (1855–1890).
Payton Embry Parrish married secondly about 1898 to Susan M. Lawrence (1865–1958).
He died on 25 May 1920 at Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky, USA and was buried at Preachersville Cemetery in Preachersville, Lincoln County, Kentucky, USA. [1]
