Biography

Mary was born about 1832, the daughter of William Parsons and Ann. She was baptised on 22 July 1832, at St Eval, Cornwall, England.

In 1841, at the age of 9, Mary is living at Penrose, in Padstow, St Columb Major, Cornwall, England, with her parents William age 50 and Ann age 45 (49), her brother James age 13, and her Grandmother Frances Vivian age 75.

In 1851, at the age of 19, Mary is working as a servant for the Geske family, in Padstow, St Columb, Cornwall, England.

Later in 1851, between Apr-Jun, Mary married Thomas Edyvean in St Columb, Cornwall, England.

In 1861, at the age of 29, Mary is living at Hallew, in Grampound, St Austell, Cornwall, England, with her husband Thomas age 40, and their children Ann age 8, William age 6, Tom age 4 and Phillippa age 1.

In 1871, at the age of 39, Mary is living at 38 Hallew Street, in Grampound, St Austell, Cornwall, England, with her husband Thomas age 48 (50), and their children, William age 17, Tom age 14, Mary age 8 (6), John age 4, and a second Phillippa Edyvean, age 1.

In 1881, at the age of 49, Mary is still living at 38 Hallew Street, with her husband Thomas age 58 (60), and their children Mary age 16, John age 14, Phillippa age 11 and Fanny age 9.

In 1901, at the age of 69, Mary is boarding in the Parish of St Stephen in Brannel, In Grampound, St Austell, Cornwall, England, with her married Daughter Phillippa Ann Andrew age 31, Phillippas husband William George Andrew age 36, their children Winnifred age 8, Ethel age 7, Thomas age 5 months. Also at the house is another daughter of Mary's - Mary Edyvean age 36.

She passed away between Jan-Mar in 1908.
