Biography

Antoine was born on 12 May 1678 in Sainte-Famille, Île-d'Orléans, to Isaac Pasquier and Élisabeth Meusnier. He was baptized about a week later, on 20 May 1678 in the parish of Sainte-Famille and his godparents were Antoine Marcereau and Marie Madeleine Cadieu.^[1]

• NOTE about parents’ names
  The parents of Antoine Paquet seemed to change back and forth over time. Their earliest records use Isaac and Elisabet, as in Antoine’s baptismal record. In later years, starting in 1680, Isabelle is used off and on instead of Elisabeth. From 1694 onwards Isaac uses Etienne almost exclusively. There are official records with all four combinations of names for the two parents.

On 31 Jan 1708, Antoine Pasquier dit la vallée, son of the late Étienne Pasquier dit la vallée and Isabelle Meusnier, married Geneviève Paulet, daughter of Antoine Paulet and Anne Loignon. Present at the marriage were François La Vallée, brother of the groom, Joseph Chabot, his cousin, Jacques Labrèque, his brother-in-law; Antoine Paulet, father of the bride, Guillaume Paradis, Jean Costé dit le frisé, and other witnesses and friends.^[2]

Antoine Paquet Lavallé died 2 June 1721 after having received the final sacraments. He was buried the next day, on 3 June 1721, in the parish cemetery of Saint-Laurent, Île-d'Orléans.^[3]

Antoine naît le 12 mai 1678 à Sainte-Famille, Île-d'Orléans, ses parents sont Isaac Pasquier et de Élisabeth Meusnier. Il était baptizé une semaine plus tard, le 20 mai 1678 dans la paroisse de Sainte-Famille, son parrain est Antoine Marcereau et sa marraine est Marie Madeleine Cadieu.^[1]

Le 31 janvier 1708, Antoine Pasquier dit la vallée, fils du feu Étienne Pasquier dit la vallée et d'Isabelle Meusnier, épouse Geneviève Paulet, fille d'Antoine Paulet et d'Anne Loignon. Présents au mariage étaient François La Vallée, frère du marié, Joseph Chabot, son cousin, Jacques Labrèque, son beau-frère; Antoine Paulet, père de l'épouse, Guillaume Paradis, Jean Costé dit le frisé, et autre témoins et amis.^[2]

Antoine Paquet est décédé le 2 juin 1721 et était inhumé dans le cimitière de Saint-Laurent, Île-d'Orléans le 3 join 1721.^[3]
