Robert Paine, the youngest son of Robert B. Paine, settled on Battle Creek in Tenn. He reared a family of eighteen children, mostly boys. [1]

Robert Payne, Jr. married Mary Baker (1790 - 1870) and Nancy McMahan (1803 - 1872) and was the father of the following children:

According to The Big Payne Book by John C Payne, 2007, Published by the University of Wisconsin Madison, Reference Number 191672272. Robert Bynam Paine B. 1794 D. 1859. He first Married Mary Baker in July 1809 and had 4 children...Hannah 1810, Lydia A. 1814, Solomon 1815, & Henry 1818. They divorce (could not find source). He then married Nancy McMahan in 1819 and they had 16 children. Lewis 1819, Milly 1821, Rachel 1822, William 1823, Robert 1825, Daniel Crockett 1827, John 1828, Nancy Ann 1830, James 1832, Benjamin 1834, George Washington 1835, Jefferson 1838, Sarah 1840, Newton J. 1843, Micjah (McCager) 1845, Joseph Anderson1848.
