Ebb Buddy Pearce was born on April 08, 1937 in Hanna, McIntosh County, Oklahoma, United States. He was the firstborn child of Bud Pearce and Quinnie McReynolds. Buddy had a half sibling Roberta Johnson born to a different father but same mother as Buddy. In 1940 a stillborn sister Myrtle Pearce was born and buried on the same day she was born in a cemetery near Hanna, Oklahoma. A brother William Paul Pearce followed on April 10, 1941. He was born at home in Hanna, Oklahoma, my Dad's sister Myrtle Leota Pearce assisted with his birth. In 1941 Buddy's family decided to move to California in search of a better life. They reached Arizona and stayed in the Maricopa County area for awhile. A brother was born there. Buddy as we all called him was too young to attend school in Arizona. Buddy's parents picked cotton to support the family. Because of the World War 2 things were rough on everyone at this time. Stamps were issued by the U.S. Government and used to buy many things such as shoes, gas for the car, sugar, shortening and other things. The family continued their journey to California circa 1944. They stayed with Buddy's Uncle, Dow Pearce, his wife and daughter for a short time. Another brother was born near Tracy, California. By this time Buddy was enrolled in a small country school about a mile from where they lived. Him and his family lived in tents a few times. Their source of heat in the winter was a 50-gallon oil drum, that his dad cut a hole in so they could burn wood to stay warm. Later They moved to Five Points, Fresno County, California. They lived in a labor camp there and worked in the fields. Buddy started working in the fields at a young age to help support the family. He would have five more sisters all born between 1947-1952. Buddy moved in with his half sibling Roberta and her husband in 1953 and helped her husband farm. Buddy married Florence Davis on April 04,1954 in Parker, Arizona and had two daughters with his wife. His oldest daughter is deceased. His mother Quinnie McReynolds died January 08. 1956 in Tulare County, California, United States. Buddy had another marriage and a son with her. His father Bud Pearce died one year before Buddy. Ebb Buddy Pearce passed away February 01, 1984 in Glendale. Arizona and is buried at Resthaven Park West Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona, United States.
