Biography

James was the fourth of seven children born to Joseph Clarke Peckham and Fannie Sheldon (Shelton) Peckham.

James married Anna Matilda Corning in Preston, CT on March 4, 1868. They had at least three children: Franklin Everet born in 1872; Gertrude born in 1876; and Lewis Raymond born in 1882. All the children were born in Norwich, CT.

James died in Preston, CT in June 1912. He is buried in New London, CT.

James was mentioned on a memorial in Hamilton Avenue Cemetery, Norwich, New London County, Connecticut, United States with a death date of 3 Jun 1912.[1]
