Biography
Nelson was born 13 May 1892. He is the son of Samuel Perkins and Josephine Hapgood. [1]
Nelson carried on with the family grocery business 'Elliott & Perkins' in Lynn, MA until its closure due to supermarkets. He worked in his later years for his son, Philip Perkins (artist) in his custom framing shop. He retired to Forest Hill Ave, Lynnfield, MA with his wife, Grace. He was taking the trash barrels to the bottom of his drive for collection and collapsed in the street suffering a major fatal heart attack. He is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, Essex, MA; Dove Section-1, Lot 74, grave 1.
