Biography

Sarah was the daughter of Jacob Persinger. She married in 1812 to Peter Wright.

Sarah and Peter emigrated West to Boone County, Missouri in 1825. They settled on a farm about five miles north of the town of Columbia. Her husband died in there in 1835 and was buried on the Gray family farm.

Sarah's brother, Alexander Persinger, was a judge in Boone County for many years. She never remarried and was listed in Boone County, Missouri with her younger children during the census of 1850. Her son Andrew had become head-of-household during the 1860 census and he remained on his father's farm raising his family there.

Sarah died during the Civil War and was buried beside Peter Wright on the Gray's farm.
