Biography

Origin

Jan Persson was born around 1715.[1]

Family

He was married to Ebba Håkansdotter and they lived at Holmö in the parish of Grönahög.[2]

Their children were the following:[3]

  • Lisken (1742-1816) married to Gustaf Arvidsson at Liagården, Ljungsarp
  • Håkan at Kimmarebo
  • Carl (1750 - 1811)
  • Stina (1754 - ) married to Jöns Jansson at Solberga
  • Cathrina (1757 - ) married to Gunnar Andersson at Visnaholmen.
  • Annika (1760 - 1819) married to her brother Carl's wife's twin brother Johannes jeansson at Älmhestra

Ebba died in August 1786.[4] Jan died May 20, 1793, and was buried June 2.[1]

Origin

According to Håkan Claesson's post in Anbytarforum from September 2007, Jan's father was Per Nilsson at Holmö and his mother a daughter of Lieutenant Lars Fallenberg. Fallengren was married to a daughter of the sheriff of Kind hundred, Gunnar Andersson Gröndell, most likely the daughter Chrisitna who bought Holmö from her siblings in 1681.[5] Gunnar Andersson Gröndell was the son of Anders Gunnarsson, also a sheriff och Kind, and his wife Elin (or Ella) Nilsdotter. In 1638 they lived at Hjärtared in the parish of Dalstorp. Gunnar was married to Elisabeth Jonsdotter.[6] Anders was known as Kindskungen (the king of Kind) because of his wealth. He is supposedly buried in the church of Hulared with his daughter Margareta Elisabeth and her husband Petter Nyberg.[7]

A court record from October 16, 1690, shows that Gunnar was the father-in-law of Lars.[8]
