Biography

Philomène Petitpas was born on 28 Jun 1844 and baptized on 9 Jul 1844 in Bouctouche, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of Joseph Petitpas and Appoline Cormier.[1] Her godparents were Aimé Cormier and Henriette Robichaud.

In the 1851 census Philomine, age 6, was in Shediac, Westmorland (county), New Brunswick with her parents and siblings.[2]

Philomène married Sylvain Gautreau, son of Joseph Gautreau and Marie LeBlanc, on 6 Oct 1860 in Barachois.[3][4][5] Her mother's name was written as "Vautour" in error in the marriage record.

In the 1881 census Philimen, age 37, was in Shediac, Westmorland, New Brunswick.[6]
