Biography

When Mary Pettit was born on March 6 1722 in Stamford, Connecticut, her father, Jonathan, was 29, and her mother, Hannah, was 28. She married Valentine Rowell in 1737 in Stratford, Connecticut. They had nine children in 17 years. She died in 1809 in Greenwich, Connecticut, having lived a long life of 87 years. Mary marries to Bethel Hecock of Norwalk on November 23, 1748.
