Obituary - 18 Nov 1931 - Death Of Well-Known S.A. Oarsman The death occurred yesterday of Waldermar Herbert Pfeiffer, of Murray Bridge, well-known SA oarsman, at the age of 58. Mr. Pfeiffer's rowing career began in 1913, when he was a member of the Murray Bridge crew which won the Australian championships. He represented South Australia in all States and was a member of the Murray Bridge crew which won the King's Cup four times in six attempts. He also rowed in the Murray Bridge eight which represented Australia at the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924. The funeral to Murray Bridge cemetery will be held tomorrow.[6]

At the Albert Methodist Church, Mr. W. H. Pfeiffer, of Murray Bridge, South Australia, was married to Miss Alice Martin, of Glenorchy. Toowoomba. Rev. W. Thurlow officiated and Mr. Littler presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. W. S. Martin, wore a flared ankle length frock of chantilly lace over pink marietta, the bodice being in bolero, style, with wrist length sleeves. Her hat was of beige lace straw with lifted brim, trimmed with crushed water lilies to tone, and chenille shoes completed her toilette. A bouquet of autumn tinted roses, gladioli and maiden hair fern, tied with bows of tulle, was carried. The bridesmaid, Miss Olive Bews, ...
