Hepzibah, daughter of James Peirce & Beulah, was born on 4 March 1762 in Templeton, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America.[1][2][3][4]

In 1790 Job Salisbury was living in Guilford, Vermont.[5] The household included one male over 16 )Job), three males under 16 (Stephen, unknown, unknown), and two females (Hepzibah, unknown), suggesting he had married again and was living with several young children.

By the 1800 census, Job had moved to Hoosick, Rensselaer County, New York.[6] The household included one male over 45 (Job), one female aged 26-44 (Hepzibah), one male aged 10-15 (Stephen), and two males (James, Nathaniel) and two females aged 0-9 (Abigail, Eunice). This comports with Job's second wife being considerably younger than him, and aligns with the reported children.

By the 1810 census, the family had moved a few miles north into the town of Newport, Herkimer County, New York census.[7] The household included 1 male under 10 (Samuel), 1 male 10 to 15 (James), 1 male 16 to 25 (Nathaniel), 1 male 45 and over (Job), 1 female under 10 (Eunice), 1 female 16 to 25 (Abigail), 1 female 45 and over (Hepzibah).

After Job's death in 1812, his children and widow can be found in New York. In 1820, son Nathaniel Salsbury was living in the town of Camillus, Onondaga County, New York.[8] The household included one male under 10 (brother Samuel), one male age 16 to 25 (brother James), one male 26-44 (Nathaniel), two females 16-25 (wife Rachel, sister Eunice) and one female over 45 (mother Hepzibah). Could the young males be Nathaniel's brothers?

In 1840, son Stephen Salsbury was living in the town of Yates, Orleans County, New York.[9] The household included 1 male 5 to 9 (Jonathan), 1 male 20 to 29 (son Stephen), 1 male 40 to 49 (brother James), 1 male 50 to 59 (Stephen), 1 female 10 to 14 (unknown), 1 female 15 to 19 (unknown), 1 female 40 to 49 (wife Nancy) and 1 female 70 to 79 (mother Hepzibah). The family lived just outside of Lyndonville.

She died 1 Dec 1841 in Lyndonville, Orleans County, New York.

Hephzibah, wife of Job, is buried in in Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville, Orleans County, New York, United States with a death date of 1 Dec 1841.[10]
