Private Joseph Pittsley served with Bristol County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Joseph Pittsley is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A200284.

Joseph was born on 22 November 1749 in Dighton, Massachusetts. He was the son of Alexander Pigsley (1719-1804) and Mary (Wescott) Pigsley (1726-1784). [1]

Joseph married Hannah Raymond on 15 February 1772 in Freetown, Massachusetts.[2]

Joseph served in the American Revolution. He served six day in 1780 in Captain Joseph Norton's company, Colonel John Hathaway's regiment, and marched to Rhode Island for the alarms of July 27 and August 2.[3]

Joseph married Hannah Pigsley on 16 August 1798 in Bristol.[4]

In the 1810 census Joseph was in Freetown, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.[5]

He passed away in 1821. Joseph's probate case was dated 1822. His widow Hannah declined to be administratrix.[6]
