James Place was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

James Place was born on October 7, 1891 in Sydney, Colony of New South Wales, son of James Place (1866–1901) and Ellen Sophia Chung Ah Ting (1869–1923).[1] He was baptised on October 7, 1891 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.[1]

James (22) married Harriett Eliza Taylor (22) (born on October 19, 1891 in Sydney) on February 24, 1914 in Marrickville, New South Wales.[2] Their son was James Edward Place (1915–2000).

James served in World War II. [3]

James died on December 28, 1954, aged 63.
