Washington Place was born in December of 1869 in Ripley, Ohio. He was the son of Daniel Place and Jane Benson. [1]
Washington passed away before 1880, as he is not listed on that year's Federal census in the household of his parents (at which point he would have been about 10 years old). He supposedly died at some point during the family's migration from Ohio to California in about 1973.
