Biography

Sarah Plumtree was born on the 17th November 1866, at Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, the sixth child, second youngest daughter of Joseph Plumtree and Sarah McKenzie.^[1]

Sarah Plumtree died young.

On the 3rd April 1881 Sarah (14) was living with her family at 7 Bentinck St, Kilmarnock, Ayr. Others home at the time were her father, Joseph (51, a tobacco spinner), her mother, Sarah (48), and her brother, Joseph (21, a brass finisher).^[2]

Sarah Plumtree passed away on the 11th September 1882, at Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland, just two months six days before her 16th birthday.^[3]
