Biography

Perry was born in 1848 Barbour County, Virginia. He was the son of James Poling and Elizabeth Vannoy.

P F Poling married Eliza Poling on 7 April 1871 in Barbour County, West Virginia. The marriage took place at the house of Sarah Digman and was performed by Caleb W Upton. They had at least 6 children, based on the 1900 Census.

Perry passed away in 1932.

Research

Elizabeth reported in the 1910 Census that it was her first marriage. Why she is listed with last name "Poling" in the two Marriage Records is not clear. No record has been found where Eliza "Digman" had previously married another Poling.
