NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANOTHER BROTHER, WILLIAM (Joseph William), WHO MOVED TO TEXAS BEFORE THE WAR BETWEEN THE STATES AND RAISED A FAMILY SOMEWHERE NORTH OF WACO ON THE BRAZOS RIVER.

John was born about 1810. In 1835, he married Adaline Rasberry in Greene County, Alabama,[4] and they had several children.
In 1850, the family was in Lauderdale, Mississippi, where the household consisted of Jno (40, SC, farmer), Adaline (35, GA), and six children—William G (14, AL), Isaac M (12, AL), Elizabeth (11, AL), Jas R (6, AL), Susan (4, AL) and Julia A (2, AL).[5]
John passed away in 1880 and is buried at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lauderdale County, Mississippi.[6]
