Biography
Nellie (Pothier) Cottreau is a descendant of an Acadian
Marie Nellie Pothier was the daughter of Denis E. Pothier and Anne Georgine Surette.[1]
She was born November 7, 1910[1] in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia,[2] and was baptised November 12, 1910 at St. Michael's in Wedgeport.[1]
She grew up in the family home located at 24 Surette Cross Road in Wedgeport.[2]
She married Louis Edward Cottreau, the son of Benjamin Guillaume Cottreau and Clemente Augustine LeBlanc, on May 12, 1942 at St. Michael's.[3]
Marie Nellie died September 3, 1996,[1] and her funeral was held September 6, 1996 at St. Michael's.[1]
