Denis Pothier is a descendant of an Acadian

Denis Elenor Pothier was the son of Severin Pothier and Bibianne Surette.[1]
He was born February 16, 1877[2] in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia,[3] [4], and was baptised February 17, 1877 at St. Michael's[2] in Tusket Wedge.[4]
He grew up in the family home located at 2171 Hwy 334 in Tusket Wedge.[3][4]
He was a farmer[5] and a caulker by trade.[6]
Along with his father, Denis Elenor inherited a home from his grandfather, Anselme Surette, in 1899 (Deed D.N.-416), at 24 Surette Cross Rd in Tusket Wedge.[5]
He married Anne Georgine Surette, the daughter of Louis Surette and Anne Rosalie LeBlanc, on November 13, 1906 at St. Michael's.[2].
The couple settled into the home Denis inherited at 24 Surette Cross Rd. The house had originally been built in 1855 by Denis E.'s grandfather.[5]
The couple raised 13 children there together[2]:

The couple also brought up Louis Nathan Bregante, the son of Theresa Cora "Tessie" Surette.[2]
Denis Elenor died November 3, 1949 in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia[6][4], and his funeral was held November 5, 1949 at St. Michael's.[2]
He was buried at St. Michaels's Cemetery:[17] Section A, Row 30, Marker449.[18]
