Biography
Obituary Pearl D. Pratt, 71, Williamstown, died yesterday afternoon at his home. He was born in Ritchie county, the son of the late John and Louisa Duff Pratt.
He was a retired B. and O. Railroad conductor, and was a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, a veteran of the Railroad Brotherhood, and a member of the Williamstown Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bernard Pratt, Belpre; seven daughters, Mrs. L. M. Davis and Mrs. Thomas Smith, Parkersburg; Mrs. Elbert Pack, Beckley, Mrs. Cecil Davis, Lorain, O., Mrs. Percival Olney, Marietta, Mrs. Raymond Ruble, Reno, O., and Mrs. Harley Lunch, Vienna; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, C. S. Pratt, Parkersburg, Reuben Pratt, Petroleum, Mrs. Lydia Cantwell, MacFarlan, and Mrs. Delia Dotson, Ft. Wayne, Ind. Two sons, Marvin and Claremont Pratt, and two daughters, Blanche and Thelma, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Williamstown Baptist church, with the Rev. Cecil Patterson officiating. Interment will take place in the K. of P. cemetery at Williamstown. The body will be taken from the Doudna and McClure funeral home at Marietta to the church one hour prior to the services.
