Private Sampson Presho served with 6th Massachusetts Regiment during the American Revolution.

Sampson was born about 1763. He was the son of James Presho and Anna Sampson.

Samson served in the American Revolution. At age 19, he was a private in Captain John Shaw's company in Colonel Abiel Mitchel's regiment. He marched to Tiverton, Rhode Island, on the alarm of 2 August 1780 in Massachusetts, United States He served in the 6th Mass. Regiment in 1781 and 1782.^[1][2]

Sampson Preshoe married Abi Preshoe on 5 August 1784 in Taunton, Massachusetts, United States.^[3]

Samson Presho applied for a pension based on his Revolutionary War service on 9 April 1818.^[4][5][6]

Sampson Presho died (age 56) on 24 February 1819 in Hardwick, Massachusetts, United States.^[7]

Samson Presho's estate passed probate on 13 April 1819 in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.^[8][9] He died intestate, and his widow Abi declined administration.
