Elizabeth Putnam was born in 1799 in Middle Stewiacke, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of Timothy Putnam (1756–1840) and Janet Hunter (1763–1841).
Elizabeth (20) married James Douglas Dunlap (23) (born on December 4, 1796 in Stewiacke, Colchester County, Nova Scotia; son of James Dunlap and Jane (Kennedy) Dunlap) in February, 1820 in Meadowvale, Colchester, Nova Scotia. Their son was James Dunlap (1821–1897).
Elizabeth died on April 14, 1821 in Stewiacke, Colchester Co., aged 21.
