It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Michael by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michael:
I can't say for sure, but it seems unlikely. Michael snr lived in Kiltrellig, Walter, who seems to have been estranged in some way from his family lived in Kilrush. There are other siblings of Michael snr, but at this stage it is too difficult to tell; but the location would suggest he is a relative
David
Michael Quealy aged 20 died in Kilrush in 1880. Could this have been another child of Michael & Margaret? It doesn’t fit in with the death date of Michael in 1854 but if he died as previously thought in 1870 it is possible.
