Biography

Mary was born in 1816 in New York. On February 25, 1834, she married Abraham Hackett in Home Township, Algoma, Upper Canada, British Colonial America. ^[1]

In 1950, Mary was 39 years old, living with her husband Abraham in Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin, USA and their six children: Jacob 15, William 14, Abram 12, Joseph 10, Mary Ann 8, and Elenor 1. Abraham's occupation was farming.^[2]

Just two years later, on May 4, 1852, Mary passed away, just a short time after giving birth to a seventh child, a son named Ryan Genoa. She died leaving behind a newborn baby and six other children aged 17, 16, 14, 12, 10 and 3. She is buried in Whitewater, Wisconsin at Oak Grove Cemetery.^[3]
