In 1844, Roger married Susannah Lean. The marriage was registered in Truro, Cornwall. [3]

Research Note
Roger's last name was Lean. Rawling-Lean is a reference to his parents. If anything, Rawling or Rolling may have referred to a middle name, but it has been added over the years. His wife's maiden surname was Lean also. This is not a mistake. Birth registrations for children back this up - as does the marriage (check the Free BMD website for 1844 and it will show both entries).
