Samuel Rayner was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Samuel Rayner was born[1] on Friday, 2nd December 1859, the son of Samuel Rayner and Mary Ann Rayner, at Mullamuddy[2], New South Wales, Australia. Samuel was baptised[2] on Saturday, 10th March 1860, at St John the Baptist's Church of England, Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia.

Samuel married[3] Emma Jane (Pitt) Rayner on Wednesday, 29th August 1883 in Cudgegong[2], New South Wales, Australia. Together they had 8 children.

MR. SAM RAYNER
The unexpected and sudden death of Mr. Samuel Rayner took place at the Mudgee Hospital at about 9 o'clock last night. It was only on Friday week that the deceased met with an accident on the Sydney road, which resulted in his leg being broken, and he was removed to the Mudgee Hospital and appeared to be getting along as well as could be expected. Deceased was 53 years of age, and had resided on his farm at Mullamuddy the whole of that time, he being born there. A wife and family and eight children Allan and Horace, Mrs Madgwick (Binaway), Mrs J. Evans (Bombandry), Mrs Wilde (Curlewis), and Lila, Mabel and Amy—are left to mourn their irreparable loss. The remains will be interred in the Mudgee cemetry to-morrow afternoon
