Biography

Jeanette Laverta Reed was born September 24, 1909 and is the daughter of William Reed and Bessie Keener. Jeanette grew up in Preston County, West Virginia along with nine siblings; Ada Bell Reed, Edna Ellen Reed, Emery Olen Reed, Pauline Mildred Reed, Lucille Opal Reed, Gladys Viola Reed, Hazel Delores Reed, Helen Freda Reed and Madelyn Ruth Reed.

Jeanette married James Keener White May 23, 1925 and they made their home in Morgan, West Virginia^[1] and Masontown, West Virginia^[2] until his death March 5, 1967. Together they raised three children; Mary Ellen White,^[3] Mildred Rebecca White^[4] and Walter Wade 'Bud' White. Jeanette died February 11, 1992 and is buried in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown, West Virginia.^[5][6]

• Nieman Clan History compiled by Helen Marie (Newcomer) Maust. Aunt Helen attended most all the Nieman Family Reunions and the Frankhouser Family Reunions. She gathered information from family members who attended the Reunions over the years sharing information about family lore and updated information about each branch. Around 1980 she put information together by typewriter and created a very large document that included all of the information about the Nieman and Frankhouser clans. Both branches intertwined in various ways and trace back to the common ancestors of John Blosser who emigrated from Switzerland and was of German origin.
