Biography

Bridget Reidy was born 11th April, 1864 at Boulinameel (Boolynamweel?), in the District of Kilmihil, Union of Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland. She was the daughter of Martin Reidy, Farmer, and Hannah Reidy, formerly Crowley. The next day, 12th April, her father registered her birth, signing the register with his mark. [1]

Emigration to Australia.

Marriage. In 1888, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, Bridget Reidy married Thomas Walter Kelly. [2]

KELLY—REIDY.—In the Roman Catholic Church, Warragul, by the Rev. Fr. Egan, Thomas Walter Kelly, fourth eldest son of Mr. Maurice Kelly, of Woodend, to Bridget Reidy, third eldest daughter of Mr. James Reidy, county Clare, Ireland. [3]

Bridget Kelly passed away 1954, aged 93 years. Her death was registered Northcote, Victoria, giving 'Kilmihill', County Clare, Ireland, as her birthplace and naming her parents Martin Reidy and Hannah Crowley. [4]
