Biography

Vera was born on September 28, 1895 in Deerfield Township of Mecosta County, Michigan. She was the 4th child and only daughter of James Ribble and Maggie (Cary) Ribble. Vera never married. After her father died, she moved to Flint, Michigan and was working as a secretary in the public schools. She was rooming at the Oak Trace Club boarding house in 1930. In the 1950 US Census, Vera was listed as a teacher in public school.

Vera died on April 15, 1975 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan at the age of 79 years. She was buried at the Higbee Cemetery located in Stanwood, Mecosta County, Michigan.
