Biography
When Giuseppe Benedetto Gaetano Ricci was born on August 24, 1784, in L'Aquila, L'Aquila, Italy, his father, Donato, was 39 and his mother, Angiola, was 27. He married Margarita Cenci and they had six children together. He then married Teodora Ranallo and they had nine children together. He died on February 9, 1847, in Ateleta, L'Aquila, Italy, at the age of 62.
At the time of his marriage to Teodora in 1809, his profession was listed as agricoltore: farmer owner/manager. At the time of his death, his occupation was listed as contadino: which was a peasant sharecropper who worked another's (the farmer's) land for a small share of the crops.
