David Richmond was a civil rights activist best known as being a member of the Greensboro Four, who, in February, 1960, staged a sit in at the segregated Greensboro Woolworth's lunch counter. He continued his work as a civil rights activist throughout his life. [1]
David L. Richmond was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1941. He was the son of John Richmond.[2]
He died of lung cancer at age 49[3] and is buried at the Carolina Biblical Gardens in Jamestown, North Carolina.[4]
