Death of Mrs. Mary Winchester
Special Dispatch to the Baltimore Sun. Annapolis, Md., Aug. 12.
Mrs. Mary Winchester, widow of Jacob Winchester and daughter of the late Horatio and Ann Weems Ridout, died Saturday morning at the family residence, Severn Heights, North Severn, Anne Arundel county. In her eighty-first year. Mrs. Winchester was the oldest of eleven children and was the mother of fourteen, seven of whom are now living. They are: Rev. James R. Winchester, of Nashville. Tenn.; Dr. W. R. Winchester, of Macon, Ga.; Mrs. F. A. Ridout, of Roanoke, Va., Mrs. Dr. Samuel G. Thompson, of Leesburg, Va., und Horace R., F. O. and Thomas C. Winchester, of Anne Arundel county. The funeral took place from St. Margaret's Protestant Episcopal Church this morning, the rector, Rev. B. F. Turner, officiating. The pall-bearers were Weems Ridout, Frank Winchester. Mace Winchester, Capt. Theodore Corner, Paul Winchester and Theodore Corner. She was buried beside her husband at Whitehall.
