She was a descendant of the Rev. Peter Hobart of Hingham, Massachusetts, through his daughter Elizabeth, born in England, who married John Ripley, the first, of Hingham, son of William Ripley of Hingham, who came from England in June, 1635.[1][2]
Eliza Tracy died in New York City on November 2, 1856.[1][2] According to her Find A Grave: Memorial #58268788, she is buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, New York, but it appears that there may be no gravestone extant.
