Biography

Eliza Ripley, the daughter of John Ripley and Susannah Greenleaf, was born March 17, 1792.[1][2][3]

She was a descendant of the Rev. Peter Hobart of Hingham, Massachusetts, through his daughter Elizabeth, born in England, who married John Ripley, the first, of Hingham, son of William Ripley of Hingham, who came from England in June, 1635.[1][2]

She married businessman Frederick Augustus Tracy on March 31, 1813. They settled in New York City.[1][2][3]

Frederick died in New York City on January 14, 1843.[1][2]

Eliza Tracy died in New York City on November 2, 1856.[1][2] According to her Find A Grave: Memorial #58268788, she is buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, New York, but it appears that there may be no gravestone extant.
