Biography

Thomas was born in Pennsylvania [11] in 1793 to Daniel [9] and Sarah Jane (Leedom) Robbins. He married Hannah Moore in 1814 in Adams County, Ohio [1]. He worked as a farmer [10 & 11]. He died in 1865 and was buried in Oakland Cemetery in Adams County, Ohio [12].

An indenture dated January 24, 1816 from Daniel Robins, and Sally his wife, to Thomas Robins, both of the County of Adams and State of Ohio, for for 100 acres of land (part of that tract of 2000 acres granted to the late William Vouse by patent from the United States of America on the 6th day of June 1798, in consideration of the militia), in the amount of $1 current money of the United States. [Recorded April 5, 1816 in Deed Record Volume 9, Pages 116-117.]

3. The Adams County, Ohio Tax Record, Volume 29, 1817 lists Thomas Robins of Wayne Township, Adams County, with tax on 100 acres of property (original quantity 2000, entered for Wm. Vause). Thomas Robins is also listed as receiving property transferred from Daniel Robins.

4. The Adams County, Ohio Tax Record, Volume 30, 1818 lists Thomas Robins of Wayne Township, Adams County, with tax on 100 acres of property (original quantity 2000, entered for Wm. Vause).

An indenture dated October 7, 1844 from Philip Robbins & Phebe his wife of the County of Wayne and State of Indiana, John Robbins & Lydia his wife and Joseph Robbins & Mary his wife all of the County of Fulton and State of Indiana, Thomas Robbins & Hannah his wife and Daniel Robbins & Rebecca his wife all of the County of Adams and State of Ohio, heirs of Daniel Robbins deceased of the first part, tod William Robbins of the County of Adams and State of Ohio of the second part, for 5/7 of a tract of land containing 112 acres on the west fork of Brush Creek ( part of a survey of 800 acres entered in the name of John White no. 3086), in the amount of $40 paid to each heir. [Recorded in Deed Record Volume 24, Pages 351-353.]
