John was born in 1756. He was commissioned Ensign, first in the New Jersey Volunteers, and later in the King's Rangers during the Revolutionary War, after which he settled at The Island of St John (now Prince Edward Island, Canada). He passed away in 1797.
He married Mary Hooper.
In 1816, his son John applied to settle the estate of his father, Lieutenant John Robins, who had died 20 years earlier. He had left his widow and 6 children. The widow and Richard, Ann, John, Elizabeth, Maria and Thomas were alive in 1816. [1]
