Clifford L. Stott, FASG, "The English Ancestry and Royal Descent of John, Stephen, and William Sanborn/Samborne of Hampton, New Hampshire," The American Genealogist 92 (2021/2022):1-16; therein this John Rogers is given as an ancestor of our three Sanborn/Samborne PGM immigrants, sons of Richard^A Samborne and his wife, Ann Bachiler.

I have correctly linked Margery de Lisle as the wife of John Rogers, There are multiple sources confirming that John Samborne inherited a portion of the de Lisle lands, confirming the connection established in both Stott and Channing.
Per the Visitations of Hampshire, p. 52, an earlier generation also married a Rogers- Margery's uncle, Sir Nicholas de Lisle, married Elizabeth Rogers.
This is correct... I also noticed this in the Channing book Genealogy of the family of Samborne or Sanborn in England and America. 1194-1898 as well. Channing has actually had the correct lineage, which is surprising.
