Gene,

I have correctly linked Margery de Lisle as the wife of John Rogers, There are multiple sources confirming that John Samborne inherited a portion of the de Lisle lands, confirming the connection established in both Stott and Channing.

Per the Visitations of Hampshire, p. 52, an earlier generation also married a Rogers- Margery's uncle, Sir Nicholas de Lisle, married Elizabeth Rogers.

Stott's article, in part 2 (p. 131) identifies John's wife as Margery Lisle. They need to be connected.

This is correct... I also noticed this in the Channing book Genealogy of the family of Samborne or Sanborn in England and America. 1194-1898 as well. Channing has actually had the correct lineage, which is surprising.
