Biography

Isabella was born in Sunderland in the second quarter of 1861,^[1] on 17th May 1861. She was christened on 16th June 1861 at St Peter, Monkwearmouth, County Durham, the daughter of Thomas Rowell and Isabella (Donaldson) Rowell.^[2][3]

Isabella married William Gettings on 28th January 1879 in Monkwearmouth.^[4][5]

Isabella and William lived in Bishopwearmouth, County Durham with their two year old daughter at the time of the 1881 census:^[6]
