Biography

Gerald was born before 1931 in Gravesend, Kent England.^[1] He was the second son of Frank Samuels and Margaret Shaw.

During the second World war he was evacuated to Wales with my sister Maire, but wasn't happy so ran away.

He trained as a Marine Engineer and sailed with the Brocklebank co. for many years.^[2]

Gerald married Doreen M. Chapman in 1954 in Gravesend, Kent.^[3]

He and his wife had three daughters. In later years he moved back to Wales and live in Abergavenny where he died, in 2002. ^[4]
